Disability Pride Month, observed in July, is a month-long celebration dedicated to promoting the pride, self-acceptance, and achievements of individuals with disabilities, and it coincides with the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).<\/p>

The ADA, enacted on July 26, 1990, is a landmark civil rights law in the United States that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities and promotes their equal access to employment, public accommodations, transportation, and more.<\/p>

Disability Pride Month provides an opportunity to raise awareness about disability rights, advocate for inclusion and accessibility, and challenge societal stigmas and misconceptions surrounding disabilities, all while commemorating the transformative impact of the ADA. Through various events and initiatives, Disability Pride Month aims to empower individuals with disabilities to embrace their unique identities and contributions, fostering a more inclusive and accepting society for all.<\/p>
