For eight weeks, once a week, participants could choose a new activity or hobby to try\u2014from crafts, embroidery, and painting to sewing and cooking.<\/p>\n<p>You might remember Twilla and Larry\u2019s story, a married couple who love spending time together at the Senior Center. They&#8217;re always up for an adventure\u2014especially traveling to Hawaii\u2014and enjoy cooking side by side. Twilla\u2019s famous for her Thanksgiving apple pies, while Larry is known for his creative salad recipes. They also love being creative as a pair.<\/p>\n<p>Twilla, who enjoys embroidery, suggested it be offered as a club. She even taught her instructor, Sabrina, how to do it\u2014who then passed it on to the rest of the group.<\/p>\n<p>And Larry? He surprised everyone. Although they assumed sewing wasn\u2019t for him, he discovered a hidden talent and truly enjoys it. He didn&#8217;t know he had it in him and at 80.
