At Hope Services, we help people move closer to their dreams. Project SEARCH<\/strong> launched in 2012 in partnership with Lucile Packard Children\u2019s Hospital and later expanded to Stanford Health Care. This one-year internship takes place entirely on-site, combining hands-on training with classroom instruction. The aim is clear: prepare participants for integrated, competitive employment.<\/p>\n

This year, five interns graduated from the Stanford Hospital program. The ceremony recognized a year of focused effort. Each intern spoke about the work they did, the skills they built, and how the experience shaped them. Their remarks were personal and direct, showing real growth in confidence and ability.<\/p>\n

Makena <\/strong>leads with kindness and compassion, creating a respectful and welcoming environment wherever she goes. She completed rotations in Linen Supply, Sterile Processing, Housekeeping, and the Heart Center, with a focus on cleanliness, organization, and medical equipment upkeep. Makena aspires to become a registered nurse and hopes to visit Paris.<\/p>\n

Sergey<\/strong> is efficient, detail-oriented, and communicates clearly. He takes pride in doing high-quality work. His rotations included the Heart Center, Lane Center, and Supply Chain, where he specialized in sanitizing patient areas and managing medical supplies.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Amy<\/strong> delivers excellent customer service and confidently advocates for herself. She is multitalented and passionate about music and performance. Amy is a member of The New Hope Band and hopes to act in films one day. During her internship, she worked in Food Services, the Heart Center, and 500P Food Services, where she gained experience in customer service and food preparation.<\/p>\n

Benjamin<\/strong> is organized, tech-savvy, and a diligent worker. He interned in the Pharmacy, Hospitality, and Sterile Processing departments, where he developed skills in inventory management and patient support. Benjamin plans to pursue a career in pharmacy and is also interested in studying business.<\/p>\n

Jorge, pictured on the left, <\/strong>is focused, receptive to feedback, and known for his strong memory and ability to connect with others. He contributed to Housekeeping, Linen Supply, and Food Services, supporting sanitation, organization, and porter responsibilities across each department.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Family members, friends, Stanford department leaders, and Hope Services staff, including Allison Yant, Suanne Rinta, Susan Koch, Zoraida Garcia and Nacy Lui, were in attendance. The room was filled with people who had seen their progress up close.<\/p>\n
