You may remember Donna\u2014a Hope Services participant, donor, artist, and passionate advocate. She has been part of HopeSTUDIO since 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n

At HopeSTUDIO, artists receive a minimum of 50% of sales as commission, empowering them to build financial independence, self-esteem, and a renewed sense of purpose.<\/p>\n

Last year, Donna generously donated all her proceeds back to HopeSTUDIO. This year, she chose to contribute $900 to the Senior Center in San Jose.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t have family around here,\u201d Donna shared. A few years ago, she underwent surgery and remembers how Hope stepped in\u2014advocating for her rights, checking in regularly, ensuring she recovered safely, and even picking her up from the hospital.<\/p>\n

Her biggest inspiration? April Basuini, the studio\u2019s weaving instructor and Community Support Facilitator. \u201cI don\u2019t trust many people,\u201d Donna said, \u201cbut with April, that changed. She\u2019s always been there for me and takes the time.\u201dDonna is fueled by determination.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cWhen someone tells me I can\u2019t do something, it makes me want to do it even more,\u201d she added.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She chose to support the Senior Center because many older adults face isolation and lack access to transportation, supplies, and daily essentials.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do it from my heart,\u201d Donna said. \u201cMaybe I can inspire others to support Hope Services by donating or visiting our website to find other ways to help.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Currently training for a marathon, Donna continues to inspire all of us at Hope with her resilience, generosity, and unstoppable spirit.<\/p>\n
