Parenting can be a stressful thing but so can being the kid!<\/p>\n
Every once in a while I\u2019m sure both parties feel like flipping their lid!<\/p>\n
From the parents point of view they worry about their kids, everything under the sun!<\/p>\n
From the kids point of view when they turn to adulthood they want their privacy and their fun!<\/p>\n
But kids worry about their parents too!<\/p>\n
Both parents and kids, that\u2019s what they do.<\/p>\n
When a kid turns to an adult, it can be difficult for the parents to let go.<\/p>\n
But if the parents are always telling the kid what to or what not to do then that\u2019s not giving the kid and or adult any chance to grow!<\/p>\n
Living is full of making mistakes,<\/p>\n
learning from them, moving on and then showing what you now know!<\/p>\n
Both parties have to be willing to give and take to a certain extent.<\/p>\n
If that\u2019s not done, then neither the parents nor the kids will be happy and the growing in emotion and knowledge will not continue to make a dent!<\/p>\n
So with that comes the issue of trust.<\/p>\n
In a parent\/adult kid relationship trust is a must!<\/p>\n
Sometimes an adult kid will need assistance with many things but their independence still needs to be there. In everything they do they should have some say!<\/p>\n
A parent can give their adult child many forms of assistance without taking all their independence away!<\/p>\n
An adult child needing assistance in living their life doesn\u2019t mean they don\u2019t want to feel responsible for anything at all.<\/p>\n
It just means that along with the assistance the parents give they still want to feel like they\u2019re standing tall!<\/p>\n
Teaching and learning, giving and taking having patience and trusting all goes hand in hand.<\/p>\n
Parents love their children, children love their parents! And United we stand!<\/p>\n
