Tailored Day Service<\/h1>\n

A unique opportunity for regional center clients.<\/h4>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\"HERO-tailored-day-service\"\n\t

Hope\u2019s Tailored Day Service is a unique opportunity for individuals who are regional center clients to pursue post-secondary education, develop or maintain employment or volunteer opportunities, or to simply increase their ability to lead integrated and inclusive lives in their community. The service design will include fewer days and hours than a traditional day program, but allows for greater flexibility and intense focus on a person\u2019s life goals.<\/p>\n

This model allows an individual to direct their own services. The number of hours in the tailored day service is determined through the regional center\u2019s Individual Program Plan (IPP) process and is based on the individual\u2019s choices and needs. Typically, between five and seven and a half hours a week are provided. Services may be offered any days of the week (with the exception of 14 days a year when services are not authorized by the Department of Development Services).<\/p>\n

The Four Main Tracks<\/h3>\n

The client chooses how many hours they would like to devote to each track, based on an initial interest inventory and the consumer\u2019s IPP goals. The service is 100% consumer-driven and person-centered. A major focus in all tracks will be to utilize technology to increase access to community resources.<\/p>\n
