He currently serves as Managing Director focusing on Corporate Services and Tenant Representation.<\/p>\n<p>Tom brings more than 29 years of commercial real estate knowledge and experience. Most recently, he served as Principal at Cresa Partners from 1996 to 2007. She holds a BA from UCSB (Political Science) and a JD from the University of San Francisco.<\/p>\n<p>She joined Hope&#8217;s board because she wanted to give something back to the community in which she lives. She felt a connection to Hope&#8217;s mission because a very good friend has a child with a disability, and she pledged her board membership to him.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/06\/bill-palmer-e1447456333747.jpg\" alt=\"Hope Board Member Bill Palmer\" height=\"254\" width=\"200\" title=\"bill-palmer\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Bill Palmer<\/h3>\n<h5>PAST CHAIR<\/h5>\n\t<p>Bill has been a member of Hope&#8217;s board since 2007. He is the Founder\/CEO of Commercial Casework, a 40-year-old architectural woodwork and cabinetry firm specializing in commercial interiors throughout the greater Bay Area. Bill has a BS in Business Finance from San Jose State University.<\/p>\n<p>Bill and his wife, Ruthie, live in Half Moon Bay and have three sons, one of whom is a participant in Hope&#8217;s Half Moon Bay program. Seeing the positive impact that Hope&#8217;s programs have on our participants&#8217; lives inspired Bill to become involved.<\/p>\n<p>Bill and Ruthie have been extremely involved in supporting nonprofits in their community throughout the years. Bill has been on Hope&#8217;s board for the past eight years and has also served on the board of Rebuilding Together Peninsula for eight years. When not working or fundraising, Bill enjoys sailing, reading, horseback riding, and winetasting!<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/1-1.png\" alt=\"1\" height=\"320\" width=\"320\" title=\"1\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Rohan Bafna<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>Rohan Bafna\u00a0is\u00a0the Director of Design and Verification Engineering for Microsoft, where he has worked for more than a decade.\u00a0He holds a BE in Electronics and Telecommunication from College of Engineering Pune, a Masters in Computer Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, and an MBA from University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.<\/p>\n<p>Rohan has served on the Board of Directors for Alternative Family Services since 2019, a foster, adoption and mental health agency serving thousands of foster children, youth and families since 1978; and formerly served as Board Chair with Conard House, Inc, providing effective, community-based resources for San Francisco&#8217;s vulnerable adults living with serious mental illness.\u00a0Rohan brings a range of expertise that will help advance the mission of Hope Services.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2-1.png\" alt=\"2\" height=\"320\" width=\"320\" title=\"2\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Candace Beyer<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>Candace Beyer is the Audit Managing Director at KPMG, where she has worked for over 15 years, working with large and small technology companies focusing on financial statement audit and internal controls. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting (CPA) from Santa Clara University.<\/p>\n<p>Candace lives in Willow Glen with her husband, Ryan, and dog, Tater Tot. In her free time, she enjoys traveling the world and cooking for family and friends.<\/p>\n<p>Candace is excited to be joining Hope Services&#8217; Board of Directors and looks forward to devoting her time to help further a cause she cares about.\u00a0As a member of the Board, Candace will be a font of knowledge in regard to financial best practices.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Board-of-Director-1-1.png\" alt=\"Board of Director (1)\" height=\"320\" width=\"320\" title=\"Board of Director (1)\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Richard Elliott<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\tRichard Elliott joined Hope\u02bbs board in 2026 and has been at Applied Materials since 2017. He currently serves as Managing Director focusing on Data Science and Business Systems Architecture.\n<p>Richard is a 40-year veteran of the Semiconductor and Semiconductor Equipment Industry. Having earned degrees in Electrical Engineering, Richard held roles in Business Development at KLA and Process Engineering at Motorola.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/11\/Dan_Foster_headshot.jpg\" alt=\"Dan_Foster_headshot\" height=\"398\" width=\"290\" title=\"Dan_Foster_headshot\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Dan Foster<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>Dan Foster joined Hope&#8217;s board in 2018 and is a longtime technology executive and Bay Area philanthropist. He is currently Chief Revenue Officer for StratusWorX, an innovative Workspace as a Service (WaaS) provider. He is also co-founder of TrekforAutism, a non-profit that raises money and awareness for autism research by organizing hikes, climbs, and walks around the world. He holds undergraduate degrees from Tufts University in Engineering and English Literature.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Board-of-Director.png\" alt=\"Board of Director\" height=\"320\" width=\"320\" title=\"Board of Director\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Cathryn S. Gawne<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>Cathy is a seasoned corporate and securities attorney with over 20 years of experience advising high-net-worth individuals, entrepreneurs, and executives-particularly in Silicon Valley&#8217;s tech sector-on complex business transactions, including financings and mergers. She counsels public and private companies on capital raising, corporate governance, and strategic growth, and has a strong track record of supporting early-stage ventures. Cathy holds degrees from Stanford University (A.B.) and UCLA School of Law (J.D.), and currently serves as Secretary of the State Bar of California&#8217;s Corporations Committee. A recognized leader, she has been honored as a Woman of Influence and a YWCA TWIN Award recipient. Cathy is also an active mentor through Stanford&#8217;s 12th Man Club, supporting student-athletes pursuing legal careers.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/02\/Cameron-Haste.jpg\" alt=\"Cameron Haste\" height=\"250\" width=\"200\" title=\"Cameron-Haste\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Cameron Haste<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>Cameron\u00a0Haste is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer at Bay Federal Credit Union, the largest locally owned financial institution serving Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties. In this role, he provides leadership and oversight across operations, ensuring the organization&#8217;s strategy and priorities remain aligned.<\/p>\n<p>He is committed to fostering a collaborative culture and guiding teams toward solutions that strengthen the credit union&#8217;s mission and improve the financial well-being of its members. He currently serves as Board Chair for Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County, is a member of the SLVUSD Citizens&#8217; Bond Oversight Committee (Measure S) and has served multiple terms as President of the San Lorenzo Valley Rotary Club.<\/p>\n<p>Cameron\u00a0holds a bachelor&#8217;s degree in international business from California State University, Dominguez Hills. He enjoys adventure travel outside of work.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/admin-ajax.png\" alt=\"admin-ajax\" height=\"320\" width=\"320\" title=\"admin-ajax\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Gopal Kumarappan<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>In 2021, Gopal Kumarappan became a board member of Hope. He is currently leading an organization at JPMorgan Chase that drives the digital transformation of documents and data for clients all around the world. He was the leader of document cloud engineering (e-signature) at Adobe before joining JPMC, assisting clients on their digital transformation journey. For the past 22 years, Gopal has worked in the Bay Area, assisting numerous business clients in the development of applications through his experience at Netscape, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, and Cisco. He works to deliver superior client experiences through the products and services he helped create, in addition to creating elite teams. Gopal is equally passionate about empowering and assisting the people in his neighborhood. He is currently a commissioner for the city of Cupertino and is a driving force for educational reforms. Gopal spends his weekends teaching preschoolers in Tamil, one of the Indian languages. He has been doing this for the past 20 years in addition to coaching high school students and providing leadership training to working adults. In 2021, he sold the company to private equity and has been enjoying a &#8220;semi-retired&#8221; life ever since.<\/p>\n<p>A native of San Francisco, Tony now lives in Los Altos. He graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Business\/Finance and worked in the tech sector for most of his career.<\/p>\n<p>Tony currently serves as a coach and mentor at the Cal Poly School of Business and enjoys beekeeping, barbecuing, and traveling with his wife, Jen.<\/p>\n<figure itemscope itemtype=\"https:\/\/schema.org\/ImageObject\">\n\t\t\t\t<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/Board-of-Director-2.png\" alt=\"Board of Director (2)\" height=\"320\" width=\"320\" title=\"Board of Director (2)\" onerror=\"this.style.display='none'\" loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\t<\/figure>\n\t<h3>Nick Palmer<\/h3>\n<h5>BOARD MEMBER<\/h5>\n\t<p>Nick\u00a0Palmer\u00a0is the CEO of Commercial Casework Inc., a Bay Area-based architectural millwork company that is 100% employee-owned through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). He holds a B.S. in Construction Engineering and Management from San Diego State University and leads the organization with a focus on operational excellence, long-term sustainability, and expanding opportunity for its employee-owners, while delivering high-quality work for clients across the region. He is a retired executive with Basic American Foods. Joe has a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA in Agribusiness from Santa Clara University. He grew up in San Mateo where he and his wife Anne reside. They have two grown children and a spoiled grandson. Joe has been a long time supporter of nonprofits through the years including a term as President of the board of Second Harvest Food Bank of Silicon Valley where he is on the finance committee. He feels very strongly about Hope&#8217;s mission as his best friend&#8217;s son has special needs.
