{"id":7752,"date":"2019-06-07T12:50:54","date_gmt":"2019-06-07T19:50:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/?page_id=7752"},"modified":"2021-08-04T09:23:21","modified_gmt":"2021-08-04T16:23:21","slug":"in-concert-with-hope-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.hopeservices.org\/news\/in-concert-with-hope-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Gratitude and Success for \u201cIn Concert with Hope 2019\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>With over 400 sponsors, partners, and supporters in attendance Hope Services raised over $379,000 at its inaugural In Concert With Hope benefit \u2013 featuring GRAMMY Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient <a href=\"https:\/\/bookert.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Booker T. Jones<\/a>, and two-time GRAMMY nominee <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mindiabair.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers<\/a> \u2013 on Thursday, May 30 on the grounds of Villa Montalvo. Proceeds will support Hope\u2019s mission to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The concert capped a day which included a visit to the Hope\u2019s Parkmoor activity center where Mindi Abair and Randy Jacobs from The Boneshakers visited with Hope clients, and later jammed with the New Hope Band \u2014 comprised of singers\/musicians who are Hope clients \u2013 during a preconcert reception at the historic Villa while guests mingled, and enjoyed delectable appetizers and libations. Attendees filled the Garden Theatre where they enjoyed an energizing performance by Mindi Abair and The Boneshakers that prompted the audience to get up and dance at their seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A highpoint was the <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/kSUGERplob4\" target=\"_blank\">premiere of the Hope client video<\/a> which featured three Hope client stories \u2013 Emery\u2019s, a toddler; Mitchell\u2019s, a young working adult; and Larry and Twilla\u2019s, a senior married couple \u2013 reflecting how Hope serves people at every stage of life. The evening was topped with a performance by Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Booker T.
