Dear Hope Services Family,\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

This fiscal year end 2020\/2021 has been a great year for us and I feel very proud of what has been achieved and very appreciative of all the hard work put in by the Hope Services team. Last year at this time, we were faced with a very gloomy future of not knowing we all would return to some normalcy. I think we are a much better agency today then we were before COVID-19 began.<\/p>\n

There is no doubt that our team is one of our greatest strengths as an organization, along with our culture. We talk a lot about how we make a difference and we are all truly privileged to work in a job where we can make a difference in the lives of others every day. It is really important that we continually recognize and appreciate that it is indeed WE (as a collective) who make the greatest difference, and not any one individual. Our team and the culture underpin all the good work that we do, and the lives that we are able to help change.<\/p>\n

Arguably, one of our most significant achievements this year has been our\u00a0ability to create the virtual program From Hope to Home™. This was the result of hard work by many staff and the leadership of Tahiya and her team. This distinction sets Hope Services apart from other service providers. We continued to provide essential services to many of our Counseling Services, Supportive Living and Employment Services during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

Another highlight this year was the very successful 2nd<\/sup>\u00a0Annual \u201cIn Concert with Hope\u201d, producing $536,399 in support. Speaking of support, we are celebrating a record year financially for our 69-year agency history (details below). A huge thank you to our donors and community partners who made this possible. Thanks goes out to our incredible Board of Directors for all of the support over the last fiscal year.<\/p>\n

During the fiscal year, we kicked off the DEI committee which is now meeting on a regular basis and reviewing Hope Services policies to ensure we are addressing the needs of our community. We are committed to making Hope Services a leader in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.<\/p>\n

Overall, it has been a busy and productive year for Hope Services. I personally celebrate my three-year anniversary at Hope of empowering individuals, developing a staff team and culture of which I am proud to be associated with, and most importantly, working together to make a difference in the lives of all the clients we serve. I believe in what we do and that what we do makes a real and tangible difference in the lives of many.<\/p>\n

  • Phase 1 of reopening day programs with over 170 clients<\/li>\n

    • Workers Comp X-Mod decrease of 18 points<\/li>\n
    • We have great news from the state, approximately $2 billion increase has been approved for DD\/I services over the next 5 years<\/li>\n
    • We have continued to expand our virtual counseling services to San Mateo county<\/li>\n
    • We are the lead agency of creating a bay area wide symposium of educating clients and family members of bridging the gap between behavioral health and DD\/I services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
